BLOX IN AFGHANISTAN
On September 10. 2009 we have signed a long term agreement with the company Haji Mohd. Naeem & Sonst Ltd, located in Kabul Afghanistan, for the import and distribution of BLOX energy drinks in Afghanistan, Pakistan and the neighboring CIS countries Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgystan andTajikistan. Haji Mohd. Naeem & Sons are a well established sales and marketing company for foods and drinks in Afghanistan. They have their own distribution company with centers in all major cities. They also have company offices in Pakistan and Iran, so that plans exist to move BLOX energy drinks into those countries at a later stage.
Previous to entering into this agreement there has been a test sales period of BLOX energy drinks into Afghanistan in summer 2009. in order to get reaction from Afghanistan trade and consumer. Although there are several energy drinks brands on the market already (the leading ones Red Bull, Carabao, Lion) BLOX energy drinks were accepted positively and widely in the market, so that Mr. Naeem has decided to move forward with this business plan.
Both parties have decided that 2010 will be an investment period to get wide distribution of BLOX energy drinks in Afghanistan and investigate the possibilities to move into neighboring countries as Pakistan in the south and Tajikistan in the north. This period will be used to implement advertising and promotions in order to make the fundament for a long term positive development for BLOX energy drinks in that part of the world.
The agreement has been signed for a period of 10 years, and Mr. Naeem is very positive (after the summer test period) to move BLOX energy drinks into the leading position in the category.
